Dr Al Azemi’s broad and valuable perspective on healthcare strategy, planning, commissioning and operations is essential to the role of Chief Medical Officer at AHMC.
He has more than twenty-two years’ experience in hospital operations and clinical practice, including nineteen years as a family physician. He was also the inaugural CEO of Prince Mohammed Medical City (PMMC), a major healthcare project in the Northern region. He played a leading role in the commissioning and operation of King Fahad Medical City (KFMC) in Riyadh, before going on to become Executive Director of Medical Affairs, Executive Director of Academic & Training Affairs and Continuous Professional Education.
Dr. Al Azemi has also served on the Board of Directors of the Medical Cities and Specialized Hospitals, and as a former Assistant Deputy Minister for Hospital Affairs at The Ministry of Health, KSA.
