Dr. Ahmed Samy Yassin joined Aldara in March 2019 as a OB-GYN consultant and the chair of the women’s health department, bringing more than 30 years of clinical practice and experience in obstetrics and gynecology, leadership, management and postgraduate and undergraduate medical education.
Prior to joining Aldara, Dr. Yassin served as Associate Medical Director of Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, UK and more recently as Senior Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Sidra Medicine, Qatar.
Dr. Yassin obtained his primary medical qualification from Egypt. He then moved to the UK where he underwent fellowship training and acquired accreditation in urogynecology, minimally invasive surgery, gynecological scanning, family planning and reproductive healthcare. He holds a management degree from the Institute of Healthcare Management at Middlesex University, UK, and served as Honorary Senior Lecturer at Manchester Medical School, University of Manchester, UK, and as Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology at Weill Cornell Medical College, Qatar.
Dr. Yassin has been a part of multiple research initiatives and publications. Recent publication “Tale of Rudimentary Horn Pregnancy: Case Reports and Literature Review” for The Journal of Maternal-Fetal & Neonatal Medicine in 2017. His vast expertise has won him a total of five Consultant Excellence Awards from the NHS England, UK.
