Dr. Fahad Alkubaidan is the Medical Director of the Imaging Department at Aldara Hospital and Medical Center and brings with him more than 15 years of experience. Prior joining Aldara, Dr. AlKubaidan served as consultant radiologist at the National Guard Hospital in Riyadh.
Dr. AlKubaidan obtained his medical degree from King Saud University (Riyadh) in 2000. He then joined the residency training program at King Abdulaziz Medical City (KAMC), National Guard in 2001 in the field of medical imaging. He completed his residency training program and joined the Saudi Board of Radiology in December 2005. After that, he joined the Musculoskeletal (MSK) Fellowship at the Vancouver General Hospital and the University of British Columbia. He completed his subspecialty musculoskeletal fellowship in July 2007. He was appointed as an associate consultant in 2007 and full consultant in 2008. He was appointed as deputy director of the Residency Training Program in 2007 and the director of the Residency Training Program in 2008, KAMC. During his time, the Residency Training Program at KAMC was one of the top training centers in the Middle East and was accredited by the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
Dr. Alkubaidan was the leader behind the development of the MSK Imaging Section and appointed as section head in 2013. One year later, he was appointed as the deputy chairman of operations of the imaging department at KAMC. As his successful career continued, he was appointed Chairman of hospital quality management (2015-2017). He was also a member of the department’s capital equipment committee and mortality and morbidity committee.
Dr. Alkubaidan has interest in teaching and research and has authored more than 17 scientific publications in peer-reviewed international journals. He has presented several lectures both locally and internationally.
